Dr. Ezekiel (Zeke) Kimball serves as Professor and Dean of College of Education and Human Development at the University of Maine, where his work strengthens individuals, families, schools, and communities through his deep commitment to student success. Framed by the College's guiding principles of care, quality, and career, his academic leadership for Maine's research college of education helps education and human development professionals (and, through their work, those they serve) prepare for the opportunities of tomorrow. His scholarship advances national and international conversations about student success. He is a leading expert on disability identity development in educational settings, broadening participation in PK-20 STEM education, and maximizing the public impact of social science research. Meanwhile, his teaching focuses on the importance of professional judgement, reflective inquiry, and evidence-based decision-making in education and human development practice.
